I actually had one English professor who set up a blog site for the class, if that says anything.
Blogging is good for your writing skills if you use it for that purpose.
I don’t think it matters for their technical skills, which often do not improve through blogging directly. Indirectly, maybe.
I think the more direct benefit is that it might be good for getting them to “loosen up,” if you catch my meaning, as a writer. That’s a good first step. The next step is to get them to write concisely, and I don’t see how blogs help with that.
it depends on the kind of blog. if its mindless no, if not, yes. I think a dairy would be better. people tend to write more intellegent things in there.
